The Indiana Family & Social Services Administration (FSSA) is issuing Ann’s Personal Care Services funding to support our direct service workforce. We plan to use the funding in the following 3 ways to invest in our DSWs:

  • Hourly wage increases: A. Hourly wage increase: As a part of our long-term strategy, we will be increasing hourly wages. We will dedicate 75% of the grant amount towards this activity. The hourly wage increase will be issued based on employee time and no# of hours worked.
  • Bonuses: To provide immediate support to our workforce, we plan to issue bonuses to (i) DSWs who have demonstrated strong willingness to work when needed and loyalty to the company, and ii. Referred new employee to the company and (iii) to DSW’s who sign on during the grant period. We will dedicate 15% of the grant amount towards this activity.
  • Transportation Vouchers: In order to relieve some of the pressure of increased cost of travel, we will issue transportation vouchers to help pay for gas, travel, and other car related expenses. We will dedicate 2.5% of the grant amount towards this activity.
  • Training and Development: In order to boost employee morale and increase employee retention. We will dedicate 2.5% of the grant amount towards this activity.

Timing wise, our goal is to use the funding as soon as possible so that we can provide immediate funding to support our workforce. We are aiming to spend all funding as soon as possible. Please reach out to Elisa Muir, at 317-220-8229 with any question regarding how the funds will be spent.
